simpsons, 300
Am I the only one who thought 300 was kinda crappy?
I mean, Leonidus was hot. Undeniably scottish and not greek at all, but hot. As was evil "TRAITOR!" dude. And the other guy that looked like Abraham Lincoln - but I'm weird and I have a thing about the beard with no stache.
Anyway, there was a little hotness, but David Wenham? Come on. Love him. Principal player in best movies of all time, immortal, yes, but what the fuck with his hair? and...forgive me if I'm just a doubter, but did I detect a body double or some cg help whenever he had to look muscley like the rest of them?
And the photography. I hated it. It reminded me of Gone with the Wind. Which I also despised. And the writing. How many five-word catch phrases does one movie need? How many unnatural speeches and do we have to endure? Traitor! Traitor! Traitor! Not much point to that now that he's DEAD. And could it have been more blatantly pro-war, pro-patriotism, more blatantly written to bolster the morales of the pro-american hillbillies? jeez.
The Simpson's movie on the other hand was genius. I cried. No really. Mike did too. Marge's soliloquy. If you haven't seen it go see it. Funniest thing I've seen since perhaps The Pick of Destiny.
