I think...there must be a gap in the periodic table somewhere. There is yet an undiscovered element. Somewhere between neon and barium maybe, we are missing the element "L" or Logic. And there is a finite amount of it on planet Earth. Like gold, it can't be made from other things. There is as much of it as there is and it is sadly distributed unevenly around the globe. That's the only explanation I can come up with for the behavior of humans. We have a logic shortage. Far more serious than the oil crisis, in fact, maybe more a root cause for all of our our damning, dooming problems, the lack of logic and the trouble inherent in moving and distributing this ethereal material to those who need it may prove to be the unbreachable barrier of civilization.
