novel you say?
So I joined NaNoWriMo.
I'd heard about it a million billion times in other people's journals but I never really knew what it was. Today I got sick of hearing about it and not knowing anything more than the clues I got from other people's journals and I looked it up.
I didn't know/imagine the allotted time would be only a MONTH. I was also surprised to find it starts Nov. 1st - and oh lookey, it's Nov. 1st today.
I took this as a sign I should join, and I am also taking this as a sign that I am SO SCREWED. All you people that have known about it forever, you've been thinking about what you're going to write all year. I'm just hearing about it now. The day it starts, 30 days before it ends.
Though 50,000 wds doesn't sound like all that much to me. I must type that in a day at work (/slight exaggeration) BB is about 90,000 already... but I wrote it over like a year.
