While I'm still wary of the whole voting thing, he breaks my rules on one count: I can't say that he is the lesser of two evils or anything close. On principal I shouldn't vote for him, or anyone, but I may accept a defeat here for the possibility of a smoother road ahead. (by smooth road I don't mean a continuation of current status quo but simply a freer future where I'm not afraid of being arrest at the airport for carrying a controversial book or afraid that my nest egg will be worth nothing by the time I can't work anymore)
The staunchest libertarian I know has endorsed this man (wtf why is ron paul a republican again? I guess because other parties don't get elected but come on!) and on the strength of his history and with the moral support of people much better and smarter than me, I might just do it.
On the other hand it makes me a hypocrite...

well. I don't really need to vote for him to help him get into office if the powers that be are lubricated well enough. I think he has a shot.
Whether he'll be able to actually do what he wants once in there is another story.
